Insurance
At Second Glance Beauty & Training Academy all of the staff are fully qualified in all treatments they carry out. Our current insurances are proudly displayed in the entrance to be viewed by anyone who wishes to see them.
Punctuality and Courtesy
Arriving late may interfere with your treatment. All appointments will end at their scheduled time, so that the next client will not be delayed, and a full charge will be applied.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your treatment if it's your first appointment with us. We will require this time for you to complete a confidential personal consultation card.
Services and price list
All services and prices may be subject to change. For our latest prices and services please check our website. Treatment times can include consultation, dressing and undressing times. Please ask for further details.
Deposits
A deposit of 50% of the total treatment cost will be required to secure the time slot. If you are booking online the deposit will be taken then. For telephone and in person bookings the deposit will be in the salon.
Cancellations
Please note that we have the following cancellation charges:
72-24 hours prior to appointment - 50% of total treatment cost
Within 24 hours or same day / no show - 100% of total treatment cost
No future appointments will be fulfilled if any outstanding cancellation balances. For repeat offences of “no show” appointments clients will have to prepay their appointments at the time of booking.
Purchase of Retail Products
All beauty products must be paid for in full at time of purchasing / ordering.
Prepaid Courses of Treatments
When purchasing a package of treatments e.g buy 5 get one free, this is only for the same treatment (6 leg waxes for the price of 5)
All packages must be paid for in full by the first treatment to qualify for the discount, and must be used within 24 months. These can not be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotional prices.
Gift Vouchers
Our gift vouchers can be used on any treatment or course at Second Glance Beauty & Training Academy up to the value of the voucher. SGB cannot replace or reimburse the value of the voucher if it is lost, damaged or stolen. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Late cancellation and “no show” terms as laid out above also apply to gift vouchers,
Price Alteration
We reserve the right to alter prices without prior notice.
Smoking and vaping
Please note that it is illegal to smoke or vape anywhere in the salon.
Appointment confirmations and reminders
We will contact you via phone, email or SMS to confirm appointments booked and remind you of upcoming appointments.
Appointment ratings and review
After your visit we may contact you via email or SMS asking you to rate our service and provide feedback.
Marketing
We will not undertake phone, email or SMS marketing without you first providing consent for us to do so. Our marketing campaigns are automated and use rules based on services and products purchased and information we collect from you. For example, we may send marketing campaigns related to your birthday, the fact we miss you and other special days like valentines and christmas. We may also communicate special offers. You can, of course, opt out of receiving marketing material at any time.
Medical Conditions
Please inform us of any medical conditions including pregnancy prior to booking as some treatments may not be appropriate for you. Certain medications may also prevent you from being suitable for certain treatments. Clients must inform the salon if anything changes to their personal information or medical history.
Children
Please be aware it is not always possible to accommodate children in the salon (unless supervised by an adult). We will always endeavour to accommodate children but will require notice from you as we may have to extend your appointment time.
Animals
We love animals and all are welcome. Some treatments may make it unsuitable so please discuss this with us when you make the booking and we can advise.
Wheelchair access
We can accommodate wheelchairs in the salon, but please advise us and we do all we can.
Payment
Most credit and debit cards are accepted, cash or bank transfer.
We use online payments through Stripe or a card machine in the salon which also accepts contactless payments.
Patch Testing
Patch testing may be required for several treatments including tinting. Lash lifts, eyebrow laminations, eyebrow stains and eyelash extensions. The patch test must be completed at least 48 hours prior to treatment. We may also suggest a patch test on other occasions to ensure the safety of the client.
